Who Should Use YES!?!

So who should use YES!?

Everyone! Seriously, we’ve designed this curriculum so that students, teachers, school staff and parents can use it. Are you:

  • A student?
    • Are you a victim of bias-based bullying?
    • Do you have friends who are being victimized by bullying?
    • Do you want to change your school climate?
    • Do you have an adult ally who will support you?
    • Do you have a group of friends who want to work with you to change your school?
  • A teacher, counselor, administrator or school staff person?
    • Do you witness bias-based bullying and don’t know what to do about it?
    • Do you want to change your school climate?
    • Do you have access to a room to host an activity?
    • Do you know a student(s) that you could support to lead an activity?
    • Do you have regular classes?
    • Do you have a homeroom?
    • Can you host after school activities?
  • A parent?
    • Is your child being victimized at school?
    • Do you know neighborhood kids who are suffering at school?
    • Do you want to change the school climate?
    • Do you have access to a room to host an activity?
    • Do you know a young person that you could support to lead an activity?

If you can answer YES! to any of these questions, this curriculum is for you.  The YES! curriculum can work for anybody at any skill level.

Please read on and we’ll show you how to create a positive school climate in your school! We hope that you will use this curriculum, share it, and let us know what has worked well and where changes should be made. Check back often since we will be adding activities throughout the school year.  We want to hear about all your successes as well as your challenges so that we can build the kind of inclusive and just communities we all deserve.
